Our dojo hosts a variety of special seminars in the course of a typical year. Some seminars are limited to members of the dojo or the ryu, while others are open to the general public. Depending on circumstances, there may or may not be registration fees, but spectators are usually welcome at no charge. For more information on scheduled events, please contact the dojo at ittendojocho@cs.com.

March 24 & 25: Ono-ha Itto-ryu Kenjutsu Sokaku-den winter intensive training with Uhler Sensei and Hashimoto Sensei. The seminar is open to members of the Itto-ryu kenjutsukai and specially invited guests.

March 25: Hashimoto Sensei will present a women-only aikijujutsu mini-seminar from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, in the auxiliary training area. The seminar is open to female members of the Yamate-ryu aikijutsukai and specially invited guests. Seminar is limited to eight participants.

June 3: Free mini-seminar open to the public — Introduction to Aikijutsu. Click here for details.

July 28, 29 & 30: In house training weekend with Mr. Freeman (Shoshin Dojo, Illinois). Training Friday and Sunday is for yudansha only; Saturday sessions are open to all members of the dojo.

September 30: Free mini-seminar open to the public — Introduction to Kenjutsu. Click here for details.

October 28: Free mini-seminar open to the public — Introduction to Kenjutsu. Click here for details.

December 1, 2, & 3: Ono-ha Itto-ryu Kenjutsu Sokaku-den winter intensive training with Uhler Sensei and Hashimoto Sensei. The seminar is open to members of the Itto-ryu kenjutsukai and specially invited guests.

Early 2018 (TBD): Musicar Sensei of the Daiseki Dojo (Palatine, Illinois), visits for private training with the yudanshakai Friday evening, and then Saturday and Sunday.from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm will be open to all members of the dojo and guests.
