The Art of Japanese Swordsmanship
Join us on the mornings of either September 30th or October 28th, for a free introduction to the art of Itto Tenshin-ryu Kenjutsu. These 90-minute seminars will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, and the training is designed to be safe, easy, and fun — even for persons with no previous martial arts experience whatsoever. At the same time, experienced martial artists will find plenty to hold their interest!
The seminars are open to men and women aged 18 to 55, with active participation limited to the first 20 persons registered. A wooden sword (bokken) will be provided for your use during the training. A martial arts uniform is not necessary. If you have a uniform and would like to wear it, that’s fine; if not, comfortable workout clothes are perfectly acceptable.
Spectators are also welcome.
Advance registration and a signed release of liability will be required for participation. Please arrive no later than 10:15 a.m. in order to allow time to complete the paperwork. Click here to download the release form in PDF format.
Following the seminar, participants and spectators are invited to join the staff and students of Itten Dojo for lunch — on a cost share basis — at a local restaurant.
See you there!
