Ono-ha Itto-ryu Kenjutsu and Comparative Aikijujutsu
Itten Dojo is honored to host Uhler Sensei and Hashimoto Sensei on September 13, 14, and 15 for a weekend of training devoted to Ono-ha Itto-ryu Kenjutsu (Sokaku-den) and aikijujutsu. Itto-ryu will be the focus for Friday evening and Saturday; Sunday morning will offer a comparative look at three different lines of aikijujutsu/aikijutsu: Hakuho-ryu with Uhler Sensei and Hashimoto Sensei, Daito-ryu (Bokuyo-kan) with Franco Sensei, and Yamate-ryu with Wolfe Sensei. Training on Sunday is open to all members of the dojo and guests, and will be free of charge.
Friday, 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. — Itten Dojo Ono-ha Itto-ryu Sokaku-den kenjutsukai only.
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. — Itten Dojo Ono-ha Itto-ryu Sokaku-den kenjutsukai only.
Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. — “Comparative Aikijujutsu.” Seminar open to all, without charge.
Dojo Dinner and Movie Night
Saturday evening, dojo members and guests are invited to participate in dinner (cost-share) and a movie. We have a 6:30 p.m. reservation at the Aya Japanese Steakhouse in Carlisle, after which we’ll meet at Spire AVL nearby for a private showing of the 1975 film The Yakuza, with Robert Mitchum, Brian Keith, and Takakura Ken. Bring a beverage!
