Our dojo hosts a variety of special seminars in the course of a typical year. Some seminars are limited to members of the dojo or the ryu, while others are open to the general public. Depending on circumstances, there may or may not be registration fees, but spectators are usually welcome at no charge. May 1st and 2nd — Itten Dojo Iaido-kai road trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for our first visit to the Japanese Martial Arts Center for Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu iaido training with Suino Sensei.
July 27 and 28th — Mid-week special training sessions with Freeman Sensei in the aikijutsu of Sanshu-ho Aiki-budo. In-house aikijutsu-kai participation only.
September 18th & 19th — Itten Dojo hosts the inaugural Tokkun (special training) of Sanshu-ho Aiki-budo (aikijutsu), with Maren Sensei. Open to members of the ryu and specially invited guests.
December 4th and 5th — Itten Dojo hosts Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu iaido training with Suino Sensei and senior members of the Japanese Martial Arts Center iaido-kai. Open to members of the respective iaido-kai and specially invited guests.
