Seminars and Special Events — 2021
Our dojo hosts a variety of special seminars in the course of a typical year. Some seminars are limited to members of the dojo or the ryu, while others are open to the general public. Depending on circumstances, there may or may not be registration fees, but spectators are usually welcome at no charge. For more information on scheduled events, please contact the dojo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
May 1st and 2nd — Itten Dojo Iaido-kai road trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for our first visit to the Japanese Martial Arts Center for Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu iaido training with Suino Sensei.
September 18th — The Wolfes and Starners founded Itten Dojo on September 29, 1992. This year will mark the “golden birthday” — 29 years on the 29th! Since we already had the weekend of the 18th blocked-out for another event, it makes sense to celebrate with a dinner out on Saturday the 18th. We have a private dining room reserved at the Greystone Brewhouse in Dillsburg, for 6:30 p.m. Current and former members, along with families, are welcome. A registration form, with details, is here.
November 8th and 9th — Mid-week special training sessions with Freeman Sensei in the aikijutsu of Sanshu-ho Aiki-budo. In-house aikijutsu-kai participation only.
December 4th and 5th — Itten Dojo hosts Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu iaido training with Suino Sensei and senior members of the Japanese Martial Arts Center iaido-kai. Open to members of the respective iaido-kai and specially invited guests.
